ZIENER THERMOSHIELD® Technology Extra warm properties ensure a high level of comfort, even under extreme conditions. The extremities of the body freeze particularly easily, which is why the hands in particular need to be protected from low outside temperatures during winter sports. The decisive factor here is the thermal insulation of the insulating material used on the one hand and the ability to store as many air pockets as possible in the glove to provide protection from the cold and increase breathability on the other. The following applies: the more air can be stored in the gloves, the warmer they are, as air is the best heat insulator. The insulating function is ensured by the outer material and the padding.

PFC-free products In the case of PFC-free products, attention is paid to an environmentally friendly PFC-free impregnation that offers the same level of water repellency. PFC (perfluorina-ted and polyfluorinated chemicals) refers to a large group of chemicals that are intermediates, excipients or degradation products of certain fluorocarbon compounds. These are environmentally harmful substances. PFCs are used because of their water-, dirt- and grease-repellent properties. ZIENER is constantly working to remove the questionable PFCs from the lifecycle of its products.

ZIENER is a member of the amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative (amfori BSCI). As an amfori member, ZIENER is committed to integrate its production facilities into this cycle of training and audits and support the implementation of the amfori BSCI codes of conduct. The company is also committed to a resource-conserving textile development process. Surplus products are given to the employees and the orphanage in Oberammergau. Together with the Naturpark Ammergauer Alpen and König Ludwig Lauf e.V., ZIENER organizes the annual Valley Green Up. An event with the aim of protecting and cleaning up the Ammergau Alps Nature Park around the Oberammergau area.
