K2's masterpiece, the Wayback 89 has been completely redesigned. Mountain guides and athletes have incorporated their know-how and experience into the new design. The ski now has a slightly wider shape, but the tail of the ski has been made narrower. This gives the tried-and-tested construction a slightly playful character and makes it even more forgiving to ride in poor conditions. Purpose engineered the Wayback 89 boasts a new construction, shape and profile featuring K2’s Titanal Touring Tech, All Terrain Rocker and Bio Resin. The modified Titanal construction guarantees perfect torsional stability even at higher speeds. Overall, the ski has only become slightly heavier by 5g, with a maximum increase in driving comfort and safety. Thanks to the relaunch, the new K2 Wayback 89 with its unrivaled weight/performance ratio has remained the benchmark for light and downhill-oriented touring skis. The Wayback collection redefines the standard for light-weight and high-performance touring skis, long days on the skin track ahead.
This ski does not come with bindings.
We recommend a pair of bindings with a brake from 5 up to 10 mm wider than the ski. Please feel free to contact our customer service if you have a question about binding compatibility. If you buy skis and bindings together we can mount them for you free of charge.
