The Kroon Mips ski and snowboarding helmet has everything a safe and modern ski helmet should have: style, a Mips layer and secure inmold construction. This consists of the Hi-EPS core, which absorbs impacts in falls, and a sturdy ceramic shell available in a wide assortment of colours. A soft inlining that can be taken out to clean ensures optimal comfort. Ventilation that can be manually closed on cold days supplies fresh air to the helmet. The Ergo Snow size adjustment system allows the Kroon Mips to be adapted individually to the wearer’s head.

Construction : In-mold - In the inmould production process, the polycarbonate upper shell is thermally bonded to the Hi-EPS inner shell of the helmet body under intense heat and pressure. This creates a large and inseparable connection between the upper and lower shell. Advantage: The helmet is very light and at the same time extremely stable.
Hi-EPS - The inner shell of all Alpina helmets is made of Hi-EPS (High Expanded Polystyrene). The material has microscopically small air chambers that absorb the forces acting on the helmet in the event of an impact. Hi-EPS provides optimum protection and at the same time allows for extra-thin helmet wall as well as narrow helmet shapes.
Ceramic shell : All Alpina helmets manufactured using the inmold process are fitted with a robust ceramic shell. A polycarbonate plate is stretched under intense heat onto the shape of the helmet in the making and pressed onto the Hi-EPS body under high pressure and thermally bonded to it. The Ceramic shell is characterized by several qualities: It is impact- and scratch-resistant, UV-stable and antistatic.
MIPS: the low-friction layer allows the helmet to slide in relation to the head and adds protection in helmets against rotational movement. This technology ensures optimal protection.

Fit adjustable :  Yes Run System Ergo Snow - The Run System enables all Alpina helmets to adjust to a custom size by using an easy-to-move dial. Alpina relies on the tried-and-tested Run System Classic for its ski helmets, a flexible head adjustment system with a central dial. A twist mechanism allows the headband to be adjusted more loosely or more tightly. The large dial is equipped with a non-slip two-component mix and can be operated perfectly with ski gloves.
