Sustainable, functional and comfortable, the TR 3.2 Trekking Merino Light functional socks by P.A.C. feel good in every way! The material consists of different components, all with a sustainable, environmentally friendly background. And so the combination of bamboo as a renewable natural fiber, mulesing-free merino wool and marine waste, which is fished from the oceans, recycled and processed into high-quality material, creates sustainable functional socks that feel good all along the line. They make an important contribution to cleaning up the oceans, are sustainable and are extremely comfortable to wear. Plus, they protect you from ticks and mosquito bites without the use of Deet or Permethrin, so they've been classified as safe for health by the WHO. Thanks to ergonomic left/right fit and extra flat toe seams, the functional socks are very comfortable to wear. An elastic comfort cuff and mid-foot compression ensure optimal support without pressing. The pressure zones on the foot are lightly padded, as is the Achilles heel, to prevent blisters. Merino wool is naturally antibacterial and absorbs sweat’s odor molecules, which are released only upon washing. Evolved over millions of years to protect sheep better against the elements, Merino wool absorbs UV radiation. Wool’s natural structure makes woolen items exceptionally flame resistant. While cotton, for example, ignites at 255°C, Merino wool will not catch fire until 590°C. All those amazing natural qualities make Merino wool extremely comfortable to wear.
