The modern, sporty ZIENER men's ski gloves GAIKU AS® AW are equipped with the ZIENER AQUASHIELD® membrane. This membrane distinguishes products that are waterproof and windproof to ensure a warm and dry climate. That ensures that water vapor can pass unhindered through the membrane to the outside and no water droplets can penetrate. The warm lavalan® wool padding, with the help from the ZIENER THERMOSHIELD® Technology, keeps body temperature in the feel-good range even on cold days and guarantees optimal climate comfort inside the gloves. Robust, non-slip and soft palms made of goat leather offer optimal power transfer and grip on the ski poles. The gloves are secured with webbing and the long cuffs can be pulled firmly on with only one hand. The wide leashes reliably secure the gloves to the wrists even when removed quickly. The product contains recycled material for a resource-saving approach to protecting the environment.

ZIENER AQUASHIELD® membrane
This membrane distinguishes products that are waterproof and windproof to ensure a warm and dry climate. Their sponge structure ensures that water vapor can pass unhindered through the membrane to the outside and no water droplets can penetrate. The escape of water vapor through the gloves is determined not only by the material composition and resistance to evaporation, but also by the external climate. The permeability varies greatly depending on the body temperature in relation to the outside temperature. Depending on this, the vapor can escape or condense inside the gloves. This effect is completely independent of the material. Due to the low outside temperatures during winter sports, the condensation point is almost always in the glove.

ZIENER THERMOSHIELD® Technology
Extra warm properties ensure a high level of comfort, even under extreme conditions. The extremities of the body freeze particularly easily, which is why the hands in particular need to be protected from low outside temperatures during winter sports. The decisive factor here is the thermal insulation of the insulating material used on the one hand and the ability to store as many air pockets as possible in the glove to provide protection from the cold and increase breathability on the other. The following applies: the more air can be stored in the gloves, the warmer they are, as air is the best heat insulator. The insulating function is ensured by the outer material and the padding.

lavalan® wool insulation
lavalan® is a highly functional wool filling made entirely from renewable raw materials, from European virgin wool and a corn-based fiber called polylactide (PLA). Virgin wool is a natural product with all the advantages of a high-tech material. Its unrivaled breathability ensures pleasant warmth and a constant body climate, making it ideal for use in outdoor clothing. Wool is able to neutralize bad odors and therefore contributes to longer use without unnecessary washing. It keeps you warm even when damp and is hypoallergenic. Best of all, wool is biodegradable and decomposes in both soil and water. All lavalan® products are thermally bonded during the manufacturing process. The PLA bonds the wool fibers in countless places, creating a durable and robust, yet soft and comfortable fiber filling for all types of textiles.
