In terms of the technology this Disruption 78Ti from K2 has it all. The Titanal i-Beam is a large titanium plate covering the center of the ski from tip to tail. This ski is coupled with Powerwall edges made from ABS. This combination provides full-length stiffening of the ski for better precision and stability at high speed. Another special feature of this ski is the presence of the Dark Matter Damping, the brand's latest innovation, which consists of adding polymer and carbon inserts to the tip and tail edges. These inserts offer better grip and control allowing you to attack the slope and ski faster. In line with the rest of the Disruption collection, these are made for downhill charging, with maximum control and maneuverability. From the firmness of the first chair to the uncertainties of afternoon chop, the Disruption 78Ti will redefine your perception of versatile carving performance. At the core of this futuristic-looking ski is Dark Matter Damping. Along the edge, a polymer damper is placed between two carbon layers. DMD absorbs high-frequency vibrations and is designed to improve edge grip even on hard snow. This makes the Disruption 78Ti from K2 a top ski in the All-Mountain starting category. With a slightly longer turning radius, Titanal I-Beam, and Dark Matter Damping, the 78Ti feels quiet and smooth while maintaining stability throughout every turn shape and snow condition.
K2 Disruption Collection
K2 has a long history of going against the grain and innovating skis for all the world to follow. Skis that have pushed boundaries, experimented with shape and technology and flat out rip. When it came time to innovate Piste Performance and All-Mountain categories, K2 went back to outer space and changed the game yet again. The result is the K2 Disruption, with Dark Matter Damping for drastically improved edge contact for a smoother, more planted arc in hard snow. Introducing the Disruption Collection..
