Simply put, our goal with the Burton Genesis was to build the most comfortable binding ever, with strength and power that meets the demands of our team riders. Featuring a slightly softer flex and advanced anatomical design, it combines the plushest in cushioning with straps and hi-back that cradle and wrap your boots in ultimate comfort. Advanced composites keep it lightweight; The Hinge (available on the EST® version only) activates medial and lateral flex for less fatigue and easier ollies. Offered in two versions, choose the across-the-board compatibility of Re:Flex™ or pair the EST® model with boards featuring The Channel® mounting system for the ultimate in flex, feel, and adjustability.

Flex : Stiff Flex – Helps with quick, technical maneuvers, even at high speeds. Great for all-mountain carving, powerful freeriding and charging through the terrain park.
Baseplate :Dual-Component EST® – By removing the materials from beneath your feet and replacing them with cushioning, Burton is able to drastically reduce weight and explore entirely new designs. With EST®, the possibilities for flex is infinite, and so are the stance options.
30% Short-Glass / Nylon Composite – Slightly more responsive than the Park Blend, yet still plenty playful.
18% Short-Glass / Nylon Composite Spar – A high‑performance blend featuring ramped up strength in a soft‑flexing package.

Hi-Back :Single-Component Construction – Simply designed, lightweight and responsive.
Canted Living Hinge™ Hi-Back – This exclusive technology eliminates hardware and weight, and allows you to adjust your Forward Lean and hi-back rotation independently.
Zero Forward Lean Hi-Back - Riders who prefer a more playful and relaxed feel will dig the Zero Forward Lean design on select hi-backs. As always, you can still choose to crank ‘em forward for quicker control when carving or climbing icy pipe walls.
Kickback Hammock - A lighter weight upgrade to the Heel Hammock, this two-piece, heel-hugging hi-back is literally suspension in a hi-back. Dynamic interaction between an internal spring and rubber over-molded hammock results in increased response and reduced vibration while your heel is cradled in complete suspension. Featured on the Genesis/EST®, Genesis X/EST, and Escapade/EST.
MicroFLAD™ - The higher the Forward Lean angle on your hi-backs, the quicker your heel-edge turns. Crank ’em forward for icy hits in the pipe like Danny does, or back ’em off for jibbing like Keegan. Toe Strap : Supergrip Capstrap™ 2.0 – Minimalist design merges two materials into one technologically advanced toe strap. A firmer material in the spine provides a supportive and lightweight skeleton, while a softer over-molded material improves boot wrap and comfort. Featuring Ultra-minimized and fully injected with an over-molded design. Made ultra-durable, glue-less, stitch-less and PU-free construction. 3D curved with a triple axis spine as well as a true wrap toe window.
