All Mountain / Powder Snowboard. Our time-tested quiver-of-one with Family Tree quality for your daily driver needs. We spend a lot of time poking around Vermont's tight trees and icy lines, so we built the Burton Family Tree Hometown Hero Snowboard to blast through it all. It's a daily driver with a build and materials worthy of the Family Tree name. The directional shape has enough taper to float the nose on deeper days, while the board's directional camber and flex maintain the pop to keep it lively in all conditions and terrain.
ABOUT THE GRAPHIC: Highlighting the board's iconic shape and ride, the Family Tree edition of the Hometown Hero features subtle but colorful Audubon eagle graphics symbolizing its powerful all-mountain personality. Or go with the elegant black-and-white X-ray-like imagery that strikes a refined balance, just like the legendary performance of the HTH..

Terrain : Powder, All Mountain,Freeride
Riding Level : Intermediate - Expert
Bend :

Camber - Great for power and grip
Camber
– For lovers of powerful turns and poppy precision, camber speaks to
the core values of board design. Offering a snappy suspension, the
camber shape distributes weight evenly over the entire length of the
board for smooth, continuous edge control from tip and tail. Watch Video
Shape : Freeride Directional Shape
Freeride Directional Shape - Twin or directional is the age-old question for creative rippers like Terje. Balanced Freeride Geometry ends the debate with setback camber and a sidecut that is centered on your stance to create a twin freestyle feel when riding flat base. On edge it turns tight and quick with the float and prowess expected from a directional deck.
12mm Taper : A tapered shape means the nose is wider than the tail, promoting smooth turn entry and exit, stability at speed, and enhanced deep snow floatation. Look for different amounts of taper throughout the line.
Balanced Freeride Geometry – Balanced Freeride Geometry spec
setback camber and a sidecut that is centered on your stance to create a
twin freestyle feel when riding flat base. On edge it turns tight and
quick with the float and prowess expected from a directional deck.
Flex Rating: Personality – 5 - 8 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)
Flex : Twin Flex – The flex is perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail for a balanced ride that's equally versatile regular or switch.
Core : Core FSC™ Certified Super Fly II™ 700G Core- Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight.
Squeezebox – Burton's most versatile Squeezebox profile improves pop and performance through the balance of thicker, more powerful core sections with thinner, more flexible sections. Rider energy is transferred outward from beneath the feet, energizing the tip and tail while making the board snappier, more stable and easier to manipulate.
Fiberglass : Triax™ Fiberglass with Carbon I-Beam – Versatile flex and response for everything from mini to mega shred.
Base : Sintered WFO Base
Extruded: low maintenance and extremely durable, ideal for jibbers and weekend shredders
Sintered: hard and fast, but a little higher maintenance, the best choice for powder
Premium: highest quality and speed with carbon/graphite additives
Stance Setback (mm) : -40 - The inserts of the rear binding are set back x mm towards the tail for a more effortless powder riding.
Mounting system : The Channel™ - Stronger, faster, easier, and designed to help dial-in the perfect
stance for you - The Channel® gives you ultimate control of your stance
and your board in a design compatible with all major bindings (not just
Burton's).
Edges : Normal
Additional Features : Super Sap® Epoxy - Super Sap® is a resin formulated with
bio-based materials that reduces the carbon footprint by 50% over
conventional all-petroleum-based epoxies. Less oil consumption means
even less of a carbon footprint per board, which is good in our book.
Infinite Ride™ –
This Burton-exclusive technology allows maximized pop and strength by
overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the
board for you. Whether you choose to ride Flat Top, Flying V™, or
Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain
its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.
The Family Tree Collection – Based on existing shapes, but tweaked to make them even better for your ultimate day of riding, the Family Tree boards come in a range of gender-neutral sizes and shapes built for all types of riders. Designed for powder, but capable of conquering any terrain, these deep-seeded shapes shine from the resort to the backcountry.
